Planning a wedding is a happy and exciting time in a person’s life. It can also be time-consuming and frustrating to gather and look through mounds of bridal brochures.

Many newly engaged couples find that bridal shows are one of the best ways to gather a lot of information in one place. However, sometimes all the informational brochures you gather at such events can be mind numbing as you read them and try to imagine how such services would fit in with your wedding dreams.

We understand this frustration that is why our bridal show is different than any other. The premise behind The Rockingham Ballroom / Seacoast Celebration "mock open reception" is to not merely explain to potential wedding clients what it is like to have a wedding reception using various vendors but to allow them to experience it themselves.

On the afternoon of the show as attendees walk through the front door, they will be entering into a vendor showcase area. There will be cocktail music, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar served in the vendor showcase area from 12 noon to 1pm.

The Virtual Wedding Ceremony & Reception will be held from 1pm to 4pm, March 25, 2007 at the Rockingham Ballroom , 22 Ashswamp Rd. Newmarket, NH. The attendees are invited into the ballroom area where they will be treated to a mock ceremony and reception complete with hors oeuvres, entertainment and the announcing of the mock bridal party - all services provided by some of the various vendors they met in the showcase area. This gives the bridal couple and their friends and family a chance to see different vendors in action and better envision what they would like to see done at their own weddings.

Guests will be given the opportunity to participate in the reception if they’d like. When you arrive, you can fill out a “Participation Card” if you would like to be a “mock bride” or “mock groom” during parts of the reception. We will randomly select participants at various times throughout the afternoon.

The key to a successful wedding is properly planning and envisioning what you want, and what better way to do that than experiencing it all in advance with your loved ones, family and friends at your side during the Rockingham Ballroom / Seacoast Celebration Virtual Wedding Ceremony and Reception.
